Certified Crop Adviser TrainingCertified Crop Adviser (CCA) training is offered at the MABA-MGEA Convention and throughout the year. Each year, we have provided at least 12 of the 20 hours needed at the Convention in January. And, we attempt to provide as many of those hours in soil and water management as we can. MABA offers summer training in conjunction with the Wyoming AgriBusiness Association, alternating it between the Huntley, Montana and Powell, Wyoming Experiment Stations. In odd-numbered years it is in Montana and in even-number years, it is in Wyoming. In addition to these offerings, several other companies and businesses offer training. While the training meets continuing education requirements for Certified Crop Advisers, any retailer or commercial applicator may attend if they are interested in improving their knowledge of soil and water management, soil fertility, crop production or integrated pest management. For more information about courses that have been approved by the Rocky Mountain (Montana-Wyoming) CCA Board, contact Dr. Clain Jones at clainj@montana.edu. |
